In this cocktail recipe we'll harness the bold and spicy essence of Tabasco to create a delicious drink that's sure to awaken the senses and tantalize the palate.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Chill your glass by filling it with ice. This will ensure that your cocktail remains refreshingly cold while you make it.

  2. Pour 60ml of tequila over the ice. We recommend our Happy Hour Silver Tequila, but the Happy Hour Gold Tequila would be a better fit if you're wanting a smoother or richer flavour profile.

  3. Next, add the 120ml of orange juice to the glass. The citrusy sweetness will balance out the heat from the Tabasco.

  4. Now, it's time to add a fiery kick! Dash 2-3 drops of Tabasco sauce into the cocktail. Adjust the amount according to your spice tolerance, but remember, it's meant to be fiery!

  5. Slowly pour in the grenadine syrup. Pouring slowly allows the syrup to slowly sink to the bottom of the glass, creating that beautiful sunrise effect.

  6. Grab a long spoon or a cocktail stirrer and gently mix the ingredients together. You want to blend the flavours while maintaining the layered look of the cocktail.

  7. To garnish, slice a fresh orange or cherry and notch it onto the rim of the glass. You can also drop a smoked chilli into the glass to add a more intense smokey chilli flavour.

  8. Give your Fiery Tequila Sunrise a final stir before indulging in its fiery goodness!

Tips:

  • If you want to add a smokier chilli flavour without adding the entire chilli, we recommend using the Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce. In fact, any of our Tabasco sauces would add different dimensions so the cocktail!

  • Adjust the amount of Tabasco sauce to suit your taste preferences. Remember, you can always add more, but you can't take it out!

  • To make a large batch for a party, simply multiply the ingredients by the number of servings required and mix everything in a pitcher before pouring over ice.
